About The Countess

Our Legacy

Since 1990, The Countess has been Stratford-upon-Avon’s much-loved dining barge—run by owner Nick Longden, who’s been welcoming guests aboard for over 30 years.

Step inside and you’ll find good, honest, freshly cooked food, great drinks and cocktails, and a friendly crew who make everyone feel right at home. Our menus are built around seasonal, locally sourced ingredients, offering hearty, flavourful dishes perfect for a relaxing lunch, cosy dinner cruise, chef’s table evening, or private celebration.

Warm, welcoming, and wonderfully unique—The Countess is all about great food, good company, and unforgettable moments on the river.

History

The legacy of the Countess of Evesham is defined by over three decades of excellence in river cruise dining. Established in 1990, this 70ft luxury restaurant boat has become a cornerstone of tourism in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Our Ingredients

By prioritizing local suppliers, the restaurant ensures that every dish—from the succulent Roast Lemon and Thyme Chicken to the artisanal Butternut Squash Wellington—is bursting with authentic flavor and freshness
